A Pavement Management System is decision-making method which integrates a pavement inventory, pavement condition evaluation and a computer database to make the best use of available funds for pavement maintenance and repair. This enables you, the property manager or owner, to maintain pavement as close as possible to its original condition.

It is well established that if pavements receive major maintenance about three-quarters into their usable life, the total maintenance cost is 50-75% less than if the maintenance is delayed (allowing the pavement to reach a visibly poor condition). The only accurate way to predict this point is to use a Pavement Management system.

A Pavement Management system gives you the information needed to best decide where to use your budgeted dollars to get the best cost benefit.

PEA provides the necessary management tools, technical pavement knowledge and construction expertise required to implement a successful system and guide our clients to their desired pavement goals and realized savings.
