Professional Engineering Associates, Inc. (PEA), provides Geotechnical Engineering services throughout the country. Our program has been perfected to serve both local and out-of-state markets with services ranging from the development of geotechnical investigation criteria for clients, to the review of third party geotechnical reports, to performing investigations for structural and paving projects. With our extensive civil engineering and geotechnical background, we will provide the technical experience and expertise to manage site development-related issues. All of our projects are under the overall direction of experienced project managers, ensuring prompt, cost-effective services and a high level of quality control.

completed 23 test borings for this site, ranging in depth from 10 to 30 feet. Since the site is hilly and partially wooded, the field investigation portion of the project required use of an Off-the-Road drill rig and selective clearing to access boring locations.

PEA maintains a geotechnical testing laboratory to determine soil parameters. While our firm concentrates on the engineering aspects of geotechnical services, we subcontract the drilling, in order to match equipment and skill to the project.
PEA evaluates subsurface conditions as they relate to earthwork operations, foundations and other aspects of subsurface construction.
PEA has the ability to provide Geotechnical services in most states. When it becomes more cost effective for the client to hire a local engineer, our firm provides technical assistance in developing the criteria, distributing and collecting records, aiding consultants and overseeing work to insure project compliance.
